Andrew Miller, MP for Ellesmere Port and Neston, was pleased to be able to arrange for the Vauxhall Ampera to visit Parliament yesterday so that MPs could find out about and test drive this innovative new vehicle.

Andrew Miller said:
“This is part of a continued campaign to bring the production of this exciting new project into Ellesmere Port.
“Everyone who drove the vehicle admired both its performance and its looks. The clever design General Motors has come up with means the car will only produce 40g of CO2 per kilometre.
“I hope the Government will continue to give the same degree of support to this important venture as that given by the previous Labour administration.”
Ends 7th July 2010
