Schools Minister, Vernon Coaker MP visits the new Academy

Andrew Miller was delighted to welcome Minister of State, Vernon Coaker MP to the new University of Chester Academy. Vernon met the Headteacher, Kevin McDermott at the North Campus and saw for himself the talent and hard work of sudents in the drama studio. He then visited the South Campus and saw students hard at work in the gym,the sports field and in classrooms.

Andrew took the opportunity to discuss his ideas on the proposed Sports Village and also showed the Minister the site of the new Academy building; this lies across the road from the new West Cheshire College building which is being built at the moment.
